Today, it serves multiple functions on-site—including use as a floor protection layer, a buffer beneath plastic protection boards like Correx, and a precision templating material for flooring and stair nosing installations.
Available in two weights—Standard (175gsm) and Super (230gsm)—Paperfelt provides clean, breathable protection for finished floors during building works, fit-outs, or refurbishments. When used beneath rigid floor protection such as Correx, it creates a vital separation layer to help prevent plasticiser migration or surface marking on sensitive wood and vinyl floors.
Beyond its protective qualities, Paperfelt is widely used by flooring installers for templating, thanks to its ease of handling, cutting, and marking.
